How Cera works

From application to shortlist, no manual work in between

Here's what Cera actually does at each stage, so you know exactly why a candidate made the shortlist before you ever open their profile.

Craft the ideal job description

Tell Cera what you’re looking for in terms of role description, skills and experience and she’ll craft the perfect job description ready to post

Reads every incoming CV

Cera reads the full text of each application it receives, so applications don't sit unopened while your team catches up.

Scores qualifications against role criteria

Cera evaluates work history and practical skills against your custom criteria instead of relying on basic keyword searches or rigid word matching, so a strong candidate doesn't get filtered out over one missing buzzword.

Highlights strengths and qualification gaps

Receive structured profiles outlining core strengths and missing requirements, giving your team immediate context before deciding to schedule an initial interview.

FAQ

Questions
we hear often

How does AI screening work?

Arrow down
AI screening software parses unstructured information from incoming resumes, work histories, and application responses. It cross-references extracted details against predefined hiring criteria, calculates match scores, and surfaces qualification summaries.

What is an AI screening interview and how does it work?

Arrow down
An AI screening interview is an automated first-round assessment where candidates answer structured questions via recorded video, audio, or text prompts. Machine learning models evaluate responses against consistent rubrics to help teams assess communication and role fit before human rounds. Cercli focuses on inbound CV screening, custom scorecard evaluation, and candidate self-scheduling, rather than recorded video interviews. It equips human interviewers with structured, reusable interview kits so every round is evaluated against standard criteria.

Does Cera make hiring decisions on its own?

Arrow down
No. Cera produces scores, strength summaries, and qualification gaps. Your recruiters and hiring managers decide who advances, who is rejected, and who gets an offer. Cera does not reject or advance a candidate without a person doing it.

Can recruiters edit or override Cera’s evaluations?

Arrow down
Yes. You retain complete control over every candidate record. Recruiters can adjust criteria scores, edit candidate notes, and manually override any automated rating with a single click. Score changes, note edits, and overrides are recorded on the candidate's record with the reviewer and a timestamp.
